Working with Zebra Kick
Building and launching a site can be a fairly large task. We have a well defined planning process to ensure that nothing gets left out. By taking time to plan in the beginning, we are able to complete complex projects on time. Planning pays off.
We want you to have a good idea of how we approach projects. Everyone needs their own 7-step plan, and we’re no exception. Below, you’ll find the major steps that take place in every Zebra Kick project, big or small. We’ve included a few friends* to help paint the picture.
1. Project Discovery
It’s important that we know our clients and their projects well. With all of our clients, we start by digging into what their project is about, trying to discover its essential aspects. During this discovery phase, we meet with you to find out what your need, what your don’t, and what you want to achieve.
Once we have an idea of what you are looking for, we sit down with our team to figure out the best way to get the job done. After we have arrived at a few solid solutions, we create the perfect action plan for executing your project.
Contract & Terms
When the project specs are all accounted for, we setup a contract that everyone can agree on. We want you to know exactly what youre getting. Once the project is clearly defined in writing, we can begin work right away.
3. Design and Architecture
Now that the project is established and we have clear goals, our design team starts on any visual elements the project may have. We provide you with multiple rounds of revisions so we can hone in on exactly what you are looking for.
With features fully defined, our development team is starts planning the framework on which the project will operate. Having an appropriate and strong framework helps reduce scalability issues in the future, whether it be for traffic or functionality. We want you to grow, and make sure that you can.
Time to build
A design is chosen and a framework has been established. Let’s build this thing! Our developers start by implement the site’s design, and do any programming the project might require.
From concept to concrete
You can see the project coming to life as minor details are polished off and content is plugged into the site. Once everything is in place, we’re ready for testing and final revisions.
5. Site Review and Testing
Getting ready to launch
Once implementation is finished, and we’ve tested for and fixed any bugs, we present the site to you for client review. This is your chance to make sure that everything is as we said it would be. When the review is complete and the project deemed bug free, we are ready to launch!
Don’t worry, we’ll never leave you out in the cold after your project launches. We like our weekends, and we’re sure you like yours too. That’s why we typically launch in the beginning or middle of the week, during low traffic times of the day. This allows us to keep an eye on things over the next couple of days to make sure that everything is playing nicely, and to fix anything that may have evaded detection during testing.
7. Monitoring and Marketing
Most marketing campaigns, which vary in length and intensity, start after the project launches. We monitor our analytics software and other gauges to make sure that the strategy that we’ve planned for you is working as best as possible. This also allows us to make the necessary adjustments to content and strategy to maximize your returns and reach your project’s goals.
